Driving along the road between Chetwynd and Prince George we made an accidental discovery along the side of the road.
We’re just driving along and I notice a side road and I look, then do a double take and am like, WHOA, there’s a waterfall in there! We have to stop! But by that time we were already past, so we decided to stop when we were on our way back.
There is very few roads in Northern BC, so we had to come back the same way. We stopped and there really isn’t much there. There’s the waterfalls, there’s a fence in front of the waterfall, a parking lot and some outhouses. The only sign says that the waterfall was named Bijoux falls because bijoux means jewel in french and the water falling over the rocks sparkled like a jewel.
But it really is pretty.
One thing to note though, if you go in the outhouse, watch out for the glowing worms…
